"Greatness is not this amazing, esoteric, elusive, God-like feature that only the special among us will ever taste. It's something that truly exists in all of us."
- Will Smith
I've had a great time learning about success. I think that it's something that infects you - and I want to share it. I love learning about it.
The funny thing about those that have been hugely, unbelievably successful in life - like Will Smith, who is an absolute icon to me - is that they truly believe that anyone can have it. I'm inclined to agree with them, because that means that people like you and me can have it too.
I've spent enough time around enough people to know that we're all just doing the absolute very best we possibly can. I don't think there's anyone who wakes up in the morning and thinks "What's the best way possible that I can half-ass my way through today?"
We all want to succeed at whatever it is that we do - and the great thing is that success is a learned skill. Nobody has ever woken up and just known how to be great at something.
Sure, it takes discipline and motivation and commitment - there's a lot more to it than that, though.
Your perspective on the world, for example, is a huge part of where you're going to end up.
Emotional intelligent - or EQ - is way more important than your IQ.
Knowing your unique brilliance, your quirks and what makes you special is the key to your success.
That must be true - Will Smith himself said it.
This week on RAW Health Radio I sat down with another success addict - Katrena Friel - to talk about her 7 Steps to Success.
Regardless of your goal - be it business, getting into the gym (or getting more stuff done while you're there), or having successful relationships - there's a few things that you can't ignore if you're going to succeed.
Having that fire that drives you forward is one - but how to we cultivate it?
Taking the initiative and ownership of our results is another - but what does that look like?
Katrena shares her 30 years worth of success coaching experience with us for Episode #029 - but I'll give you a bit of advance warning: this show is a bit more on the "Kick up the bum" side.
Sometimes it's good to hear people like Will Smith tell us that we're innately brilliant... Sometimes we need to be told to get up and make it happen.
This show is all about making it happen.

See you next week, friends. Have an awesome weekend - and don't be afraid to let your brilliance shine through.
